Things to do in Love Valley

Love Valley sits roughly 10 minutes by car from Göreme, reached via a roadside viewpoint above Uçhisar before the track drops down into the valley floor.

The draw here is height: the fairy chimneys are taller and more slender than the clustered formations in Pigeon Valley or the red-rock walls of Rose and Red Valley nearby, and the viewpoint gives you the full profile before you commit to the walk down.

The descent covers around 150m of loss on loose tuff and gravel, with no shade anywhere on the route, so early morning or the last two hours before sunset are the only times worth doing it in summer. There is no fee to view the chimneys from the road, and the walk down and back takes about an hour at an easy pace.
